"Peepli Live is not about farmers' suicides as people have been saying.It is a satire on society including media and administration. It depicts the growing divide between urban and rural India.directed and written by debutante Anusha Rizvi.the film stars Naya Theatre company member Omkar Das Manikpuri as well as Raghubir Yadav, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Malaika Shenoy along with a number of newcomers.
The film's music has been composed by Mathias Duplessy and Indian Ocean.a song "Mahangayee dyan Khayat jaat hai". is very popular before releasing.
The movie is set to release on August 13.
